Left Poquoson at 0500ish....

Nice ride out, headed to 1000 fathoms just south of the Norfolk Canyon were I saw some warm water earlier in the week. Thick fog when we hit the colder water in about 20 fathoms, didn't clear up until we were in warmer water on the other side.

Set the spread and trolled, two gaffers jumped the spread and in the box at about an hour in, my daughter caught one of these, thats four of the six fish needed for her state junior angler goal. At the rate she is going, she will have it wrapped up this weekend.

Nothing else to show for it, nice water color but cool, only manged to get 67°. Headed to the canyon to try some deep dropping, one BSB, two small sharks, a cod and some wierd torpedo looking fish.

Note to self......Need to attend Healthy Grins deep dropping seminar.

Nice ride in accross the ocean and the bay was...well the bay, sloppy. Back to the POQ at 1830.

Paul, next time you run offshore out of Poquoson, give me a shout and we can buddy boat. I didn't even bring the trolling gear this trip as I had no idea where the water was due to so much cloud cover. But I think we were a day late and a dollar short in looking at this shot. Looks like this water just pushed in today cause it sure wasn't there yesterday.
