I am planning on fishing saturday somewhere around grandview buckaroe area for some cobe action ,,,,, is there any particular spots i should be going to ? i fished the pier my whole life but first time fishing that area with a boat ..... i guess i will put in a wallaces , its the closest place i know of to that area ?

i am wondering the same thing you are my man, except im going on tueday and wed of next week. They told me that when you put out at wallace's, keep following the channel markers until you get out to bluefish rock. i heard thats a hot sport for cobia. good luck to ya!

We tried off grandview Sat. and Sun. with no luck, but they are definitely there. It just wasn't our day(s) I guess. There were a ton of boats around bluefish rock so we just stayed away from there. Check on your chart and look for any humps and set up on top of them. we go out of Messick point, its a nice free launch and plenty deep. Its across back river from wallaces. Either way, once you leave back river look right and you'll see all the boats.
