Heads Up! Heroes on the Water at Owls Creek this Saturday

Just a heads up for those of you who use the Owls Creek boat ramp. This Saturday (June 20th). The TKAA is hosting our first Heroes on the Water event. Members of our club will be kayak fishing with members of the Wounded Warrior Regiment out of Portsmouth Naval Hospital. There will be approximately 10 warriors and about 20 volunteers kayak fishing in Rudee inlet. We anticipate a group start at 9:30 – 10:00 and will do our best to not affect the other users of that facility. We will take a lunch break at 12:30 and go back fishing until about 3:30. We apologize ahead of time if we cause any inconvienance.

Thanks for understanding, and if you see them fishing, thank them for their sacrifices and service.
