Left Lewes ramp in BB's boat at 6:30am and headed out to the rips over by the 8's and started bucktailing. NADA. Followed the rip line over about 3/4 way to Jersey. Nada! Not a bump! Started to fish our way back and Bob picks up a nice striper of about 33"(we didn't measure as it was big enough). Bob then picked up a 26'er and an Atlantic Mackerel of 16". That ended our action on the rips although we continued to fish them for awhile.
Decided to try for TOG at the outter side of the outter wall. Action off and on but pretty good. We limited out on ALL Males over 16.5" with the biggest being 19 1/2". Threw back many, many females with quite a few bigger than our biggest male. Also threw back some smaller males which would have been keepers. Bait of choice varied w/ green crabs having the hot hand and the tog not touching the sandfleas, and later sandfleas became the hot bait.
A great day on the water w/ BB!! I always learn something new when I fish w/ him!
