I need a thermastat...

Hi men, I need a thermastat for a Mercruiser (standard 350 Chevy). I'll be in the Baltimore area tommorrow so if anyone knows where I can buy one please let me know. I looked at West Marine and they want $21.00. On the net most places have them for $8.95. Thank you, Bob

The $8.95 price sounds like just the stat and you will need a kit with the seals and gaskets. If the one at WN is the kit then that price is not that bad. You also have to figure $8 or so bucks for shipping when buying on line.

Bryansfish, Are they the same as a car stat? I know the temp. will differ from a car but other than that they appear the same. Thanx, Bob
