I am going to try rewiring it first but the trim switch on the cowl of my 1997 Mercury Offshore 150 two stroke will go up but not down. The trim switch on the throttle works fine. I looked all over the web and can't find a replacement switch for it. Any ideas where I can find one?

Thanks

Mine is hosed as well. I'm going to spray it with WD-40 before I do anything else. It seems behind the switch in the motor housing there is a little cup that fills with water and everytime i tilt her up the cup empties on to the switch. At least on mine it does. I may just put a squirt of expanding foam in the cup as it serves no purpose.

Mine turned out to be a loose connection. Play around with the wires and you might get lucky.

Thanks, got mine to work (loose connection). By the way $64 for a switch and a little wire is a bit high IMO.

Fixed mine finally. She was half unclipped so I doused her with WD40 and reset her in the clip. Works like new now!!
