i went to wachapreague with my dad and uncle on our yearly flounder trip. the weather offshore was good so we bagged the flounder fishing and went for mako's.
i knew the day was gunna be good when we saw this... we found the same bait pile 3 days in a row...

the first day out we got set up and with in 40 min we had our first mako to the boat, only a little guy.

then we caught another mako...150 class that got broke off, caught a tiger shark and we killed a 90lb. mako to end the day. it was pretty steady action all day. it was a great first trip offshore for us.

the second day we only got one pull. it was a good one...another 150 + mako...lost at the boat. then we trolled for a bit and caught some bluefish.
the third day was pretty good, we caught a little mako first thing then had a few run offs that didn't come tight and we also cauget a dusky.

all and all i can't complain. we fished 3 days, caught 5 mako's 1 mystery fish that we never saw, a tiger shark, dusky shark, 3 run offs that didn't come tight and saw 2 other mako's in the slick that wouldn't eat. all of us on the boat learned ALOT this past week. i guess the best way to lear is to screw up. we figured alot of little tricks out the hard way but now we know. live and learn. can't wait for next weekend!
