crabbing in DE?

i know this is fishing bd. but does anyone crab up here along Del. city and area south? with gas prices so high i am looking to go closer to home.maybe augustine beach or south? do they use trot lines or mostly traps? thanks [smile]

Never crabbed that far north, but down near collins beach, woodland beach area there are plenty. current is a little tough for trotline for my taste have done decent with traps before.
worth a shot for sure.

thanks cap. Ed, i have always hit MD. but wisso and gang got to get crabs out of there somewhere. i will try traps first and check it out. b dog gone

They catch some big Sooks up there in May,a few Jimmys.

how about june or as season go,s must get jimmies than? perhaps as water temp. and salt line move up?
