Bluefish?

Hi guys,

I usually post on the Chesapeake site but I often fish the lower delaware river around the augustine beach area throughout the summer as well. With the stripers going, do any great numbers of bluefish make it up north to augustine beach? Anyone out there troll for them with spoons? I was looking to try some different kinds of fishing out there. i can always catch some catfish at the yellow can but I was hoping to get into some blues for some fun this year. I have an 18 ft bay boat so i have not ventured out into the delaware bay.

Yes they do,in the dry summers bluefish,trout and croaker all get up that far,2 years ago the yellow can area was stacked with croaker,heard of a few blues making they way up the river,not up that far as of yet,

The blue's follow the stripers in the spring but not in any numbers . In the early fall you can find them at Augustine Beach area but they are snapper blues.
