Thanks Mark........
With yesterdays rains I had way too much time on my hands. Cleaning up my photo drive I decided to throw some images out there hoping someone might get a little enjoyment looking through them.

Do you use Auto mode or Manual mode more ? Pics look great

I use manual mode for the most part. I first get a good fix in the auto mode then switch to manual using that information to start and work from there. I also use manual focus on close-ups on birds and animals, concentrating on the eye of the subject. When using large lenses say 300mm and above a good tripod is a most to cut down on shake. In my opinion besides good equipment, light (natural/flash) is one if not the most important factor in getting quality detailed images.

Got any details on that last one, Froghair? Looks like a fox either early morning or late evening with a fast long lens wide open and fairly close, resulting in the narrow depth of field. Excellent shot. Where'd you shoot it?

I thought wolf at first. The fact that they are not so local in numbers and the reddish tinge from the backlight made him a little fox-like in my mind. It's a nice shot. I like it.
