Cape Henry Blues

I've been to cape henry three times this month and haven't caught a single
blue...we did manage a few spanish today but where are the blues?

Prior years I've always caught plenty of blues while spanish fishing which I would
use for flounder bait but not this year....

I caught two from the beach at dam neck last evening that were about 18 inches long. they were in pretty close to shore. the ones i caught were right behind the breakers 30-40 yrd off shore.

we trolled yesterday afternoon up the ocean front and caught 1 Spanish and missed a couple of hookups.

while mac fishing last week i caught a tonnnn. i was using clark spoons with 3oz inlines and they were smakin it

drewman, where did you find them? I tried Friday afternoon at CH and the water was dirty and the blues were no where near the light house. in years past they are usually in 15 - 30 ft water but not the other day.

Been catching plenty right outside the Lesner Bridge. Early moring- late evening. Look for the birds working.
