Aloha all,
New to the area from California, spent the past winter in Panama City Beach, Fl as well. Looking for spear buddies, especially someone with the lay of the land, a boat... I have found the state regulations online, but I'm not sure where to go around here, especially with the low vis so I figure you need a boat to get offshore. Most of my spearing experience is freediving, but have scuba'd as well. Looking for any groups that head out of VaBeach or Hatteras.

There are several dive shops in Va. Beach that will take you scubadiving offshore with a speargun. You can freedive or scuba around the CBBT islands just off the Lynnhaven Inlet. The Outer Banks Diving in Hatteras is also a good dive shop for offshore wreck diving or.. you can always hit the surf in Nags Head or Kill Devil Hills, NC. for surf wreck divin but with low vis.
