Baseball has been prolonged due to our rainy spring, and other things around the house have needed my attention during the day; hence, the river and I have seen very little of each other.

Judging from the lack of posts here on our board, many of you may have also been dealt the same hand.

Is anybody doing anything? Here, there, or anywhere?

Same thing here, Greg. I've had so much going on this spring that my time on the water has been very limited. Seems like whenever I get a few hours of free time recently, it's been blowing or pouring rain.

Water quality hasn't looked too good recently due to all the rain so the fishing can't be that good (at least that's what I tell myself so I feel good :D)

I might try some Perchin' Friday morning (early---5:30-7:30ish). I could use a buddy. Grass shrimp and small jigs under docs and grass beds will probably be the ticket.

Seems like there are plenty of white perch in little round bay and lots of bait. Thought I saw a bass working the shallows, but it turned out to be a large skate cruising around. There are some small spot around too, but haven't caught any bass.

Greg,
I feel your pain. Between baseball and kid activities including one high school graduation party I have not fished at all. I don't even remember what my boat looks like as I still have it under shrinkwrap. Going on vacation first week of July so most likely won't splash until after then. I did catch my first white perch of the year off of main beach pier two days ago. What a rush:yes: Pretty sad when that's the highlight of your summer so far. What can I say, but it's all about the Kids.............Talk to you soon.........

Although your fishing time may be limited, your priorities are in the right place. My daughter is at home after her first year of college. Depending on her future summer jobs, we may never have her home again for more than a visit after this. Enjoy your time with your kids.

Nice stache.

For the first time, while checking on my boat yesterday, I noticed barnacles attached to my transducer and outboard. Normally, my boat is on the go so much that they don't have time to take up residence. Sad. But like John said, I guess I have my priorities straight.

Steve, we'll catch up soon.

I've also been held off the water by the weather...we had a crappy start to the summer, that's for sure!

I'm getting out Sunday...and probably sometime next week as well (trip with my dad on Sunday probably...and trip with my father in law sometime next week). I'll be out at hackett's, bottom fishing and livelining....probably take a few casts in the river as well.

Big E and I got out for a little while last evening. Tried a few favorite spots between David Taylor to RB ... water not looking too good anywhere. No hits. Nice to be back out again, though... the boat's been sitting idle for FAR too long!
