I have beeen crabbing for about 20 years always used trotline and chicken necks what is a snoodline that everyone talks about. Im old school so clue me in thank you daffyduck

Snood line is a trot line that has droppers at each bait location rather than having the bait slip knoted or spliced (when using tarred twine) into the mainline. So if you had a bait ever 5' on a normal line you would have a "dropper" (re: snood) every 5'. Snoods vary in lenght some like'm shorter others a little longer. They are usually attached to the main line with hog rings or hitch knots. Lot's of guys use bunji for thier snoods and a piece of fule hose noosed at the end for easy baiting and removal. I've got a snood line and they have thier advatages and disadvatages IMHO...I usually don't run it very often...but lets not start WWIII :D........talking snoods is like talking broadheads, favorite braided line and politics......it can get testy:eek:
