Here's my personal opinion, lets face it, for the most part low viz. is the norm BUT there are days better than others and there are those days (not very often) that remind you of far away places way down South. Low viz. days can be just as productive as good viz. days as long as the target is there but you can't hunt in a soup.
Close to shore sites can also be even more productive than offshore and the best part is that you don't have to be looking over your shoulders as much every time you nail one to have one of them nail you as they eat your fish and damage you r gear. If you been hunting offshore wrecks in Va. and NC. you know what I mean, they're hungry, they are big, they know how to use their size and they're train to react to the metal to metal sound. It's just like ringing a loud bell and lookuot here comes the runaway train and it wants your fish so just give it and do it fast!

Safe hunting

Try the Santore. That is about the closest wreck with good fish to spear.
