I was thinking about going to the Potomac there tomorrow (Kayak and Wading) for smallmouth etc on the fly. How's the river looking? Clear? Cloudy?

It's 4310 and 1.87 ft at Point of Rocks, according to the NOAA Site, but I forgot what that means, as I haven't paid attention to it for a while. Also, is it me or are there a really a lot fewer guaging stations online?

A friend of mine fished Landers last Saturday and said the water is setling down nicely. It was still a little murky but on the green side.

The Shenandoah was nice, green, and very fishable until last night. We got a hard thunderstorm with 1/2inch of rain. May be a little up today but should go down quick. the fishing has been really good so I expect it to continue.

Do realize a lot of people will be rafting/ floating/ swimming in the river tomorrow and the weekend with the holiday. You may want to try the Virginia Shenandoah or other areas as Harpers Ferry will have a lot of people around. Pmail me spots to go if you want specifics.
