Does anybody know what the limit is for folding traps with a commercial license I looked on comar and could not find anything about commercial use. I had a guy around me today that had more than 30 I was just wondering if he was legit.
Thanks

I believe the LCC is a unlimitled line, 50 pot use, and unlimited collapsible trap, rings ect... But I may be wrong because I never bothered with them since becoming commercial. rj may know.

Bird Watcher,
I am with crabber5 and BM! no problem here! I see license for sale on this site if you are interested and feel you are slighted in some way.

there is no stated limit on collapsible traps for commercial license holders,
the limits apply to pots only.

From the Annotated code of Md
B. Crabs:
I. Up to 50 pots, trotlines, nets, dip nets, traps, pounds, and scrapes: $50
II. Over 50 pots, plus any other gear listed in item I of this sub-sub-subparagraph: $150

My response was pertaining to LCC license holders.

Other TFL holders may be allowed more traps and/or net rings, but I doubt any are using that gear.

POLECAT, Homer is better!!!

I heard that!!!

Homer is good for a long boat ride, so I am told.

Ninilchik is as good with a lot shorter ride.... they tell me.

More votes for Ninilchik, so thats where I'm Halibut fishing Sunday morning.

Tomorrow we go clamming for Razor clams..... No, they are not the same clams as the Razor clams in the Chesapeake, so I have seen. These critters are a lot larger!!!! And people here do eat them. So will I!!!

Pics to follow. Stay tuned.

P.S. Fresh Salmon and Halibut taste outstanding!!!!!!! Been there, done that!:D
