Anyone fishing monday - thursday

anybody fishing offshore in VA monday - thursday july 13-16 ?? I was thinking of giving it a shot on weds going to the 26 mile hill & east . I also have room for a HO or two . let me know if you want to go . boat will be my 24 ft albe , I need to put some hrs on her .

Just watch the ethanol if you've been sitting for a while. I had the unfortunate experience Saturday. Motor coughed 17 miles off the beach. Tried to change the fuel filter and realized my old wrench doesn't fit the filter on the new motor. Got her running again after she sat a while and settled. Next time the motor coughs and backfires -just- inside the breakers between the green and red cans. Kept putting along till got inside the inlet and she just quit. Heatwave gave me a tow for a while till the motor decided to run again. Not fun. I've been using StarTron, but that didn't seem to help. Next thing is to get a Racor even though the Volvo fuel pumps might not like the restriction. Note that the problem didn't occur till coming in. The motor didn't burp at all going out or trolling 26. I'm just hoping I didn't kill the fuel pumps......

Jeff boat has been sitting only for three weeks . I have been mixing stabill blue in my fuel and run two inline racors before they get to a 10 micron filter on the engine . so far no problems , but you never know . I'm going to run the boat tommorow (tues) fishing for spanish off the beach . I'm still on the fence about weds winds are supposed to be 10 to 20in the canyons .will decide tommorow .

Watch that Racor. I burned up the fuel injector pump on the "Old Teaser". Was told it was having to wotk too hard to pull fuel through two filters. ANyway from that time on carried a spare fuel injection pump ever since then. Something you might want to think about. Remeber to stop by and "go shopping" in my filters and spare parts from the
old boat.
