Red Dawgin' in MHC

Guy fishing with me got this one and a whole bunch like it the other day (notice that his buddy had one at the same time I was taking his photo).

Bonito had been biting nicely in the mornings but may be filtering out now. Spanish macs have been making their way up the beach...one day at Wrightsville, next at New River...today at Bogue. Tomorrow?

The spanish have been coming & going. I have heard sporadic reports of spanish off bogue banks for about 3 weeks now. The first one I heard of was caught 5/5. One guy said he went yesterday up the westard beach & caught all the kings he could handle on stingsilvers.

Jay,
You need to stop saying westard and eastard...it just isn't right. [wink] Meanwhile, the bite off Bogue Inlet yesterday was for real with fish caught all day.
Also, went red dawgin again yesterday around 5 pm and we got 5 fish from 19 - 26 inches in an hour and a half of fishing.
