I ran South into a healthy head sea monday afternoon having been tricked by the wx man. They predicted 5 to 10 Northerly which would have been the remnants from the front that passed through Saturday Evening. So how is reality, TPL yesterday around 1700......solid white caps out of the South! I would say an easy 16 knots steady with 2' rollers.

I zigzaged south and then southeast to green "1A" and took some cover for a while in the West River (good protection there from rollers coming up the bay).

No breakers and i am still a novice w/ jigging so no Rock. My Garmin FF seems stuck on "demo mode" i.e. everytime I run there are tons of fish under me!

The breeze let up and I surfed back up the Bay in perfect temps. Stopped at Hackett's and pulled up some W. Perch, Croaker (good size) and a couple of huge spot. One other boat was drifting the bar there with a good steady pick. Lovely Night.........camera battery dead..

If your sensitivity setting is too high, the unit will show fish-like marks all over the screen. I do not have a Garmin unit so I cannot comment on what a good setting should be. I typically keep my Lowrance units between 60% and 80% to get a reasonable signal.
