tried to fish sunday

looked at the radar this morning at 4;30 and saw 1 lump of rain off of rodanthe,figured the forcast was right.[chance of showers]put off at OI with a slight drissle.made our way over to davis channel and the water looked nice but the wind was howling and the rain steadily picked up.made a couple of drifts with no hits so we moved into GIS where the shoreline gave us some relief from the 20 mph wind and made a couple of more drifts.caught a few short flatties but it wasn't worth it.just to dang crappy!back to the barn by noon to make up some more rigs and watch the race. mike

Mike, Wished you guys would have had better luck. Some neighbors and I left out of Rudee Sunday morning for some spades at the tower. Only 5 boats there the entire day. The front started moving in around 9am and the winds went to east at 20 with drizzle. Managed to boat our limit of nice fish and headed in with the wind at our backs. L8tr, Mike

nice job on the spades.I guess the weather shortened more than 1 fishing trip.
