Hey all, i'm just starting to get into surf fishing and will be trying my hand at the outer banks in the beginning of Sept. I'm looking for opinions/recommendations for mid level rod/reel set ups. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You 4-wheeln, what fish are you planning on targeting, do you throw a conventional or spinning reels?
You could start with a 8-9'spin combo for blues, croaker, roundhead, spot, specks, etc & a 10-12' conventional for big OBX reds :yes:

Diawa sl30sha for the reel and a 10 Ocean Master rod from BPS would be a good start

Ya gonna drum fish SB and the Refuge with me this Fall? Come Sept. save me a few spot heads from the store :D

Gothca covered Mark but you gotta promise me a drum this year. Last outing was a big SKUNK and some Japanese flounder ARRRRRR
