Shutting off by 8am seems to be the pattern. Current hasn't been much in the AM lately. That will change.

Good to see the Imm FM. Imm females, luring in the jimmies,I'm guessing a good doubler run starting next week.

As far as my crabbing adventures this year I have not had any luck with shallow water, under 5'. Don't misunderstand I catch some within this range but most of mine have been caught in 6 to 10ft depth.

The next crabber will have a different experience. That's what makes this fun;-)

Good Luck

John

that is exactly opposite of what I have been doing...too funny...I took my son on Sunday morning, and he dipped 2 baskets of crabs in about 2 hours, but couldve dipped alot more if he wasnt sticking his net in the mud....and thats no joke...we were so shallow that he would go for a crab, and hit the mud, and the crab would bugger off. cant find a crab over 6 feet of water...ofcourse where I crab, I cant find 6 feet of water...haha.

And immature Females?? I threw back at least a dozen that were 5 inches...this next shed is going to produce some $5 footlong softshell sammiches!....just in time for my fresh maters!

Same here; I normally give them away to folks fishing that I see on my way back to the ramp. I get some strange looks form them when I go up to them and ask them if they want some free bait :)
