Kitty Hawk boat ramps

I'll be staying in Kitty Hawk this year and I'm taking my boat. Anybody with info on what I can do to catch some fish in late Aug in the sound would be great! Also, where can I put in? The boat is pretty heavy so I don't think a sand ramp will do so great. Thanks.

Wallbanger, your best bet would be to go to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and put on. They have a great ramp and you can fish the Ocean or Sound.

OI has a great ramp but if you don't to drive that far you can go over the causeway bridge toward Manteo and use the public ramp under the bridge on the left. It's up to you, they are both nice ramps.

best bet would be IMHO OI fishing center.follow the daymarkers to the bridge and drift for flounder in the deep water.north or northeast wind will clear up the water and the bite should be on,good luck.mike
