Hatteras Questions

I am thinking about towing the boat down to Hatteras either tomorrow morning or Sunday morning. I would like to make a run to "The Point" area if sea conditions allow. I would like to know how long of a run is it? The 40-45 mile run from OI is just to far in a smaller boat.

Also what time should I be at the boat ramp? I notice that OI gets really crowded around 6:30am is it the same case for Hatteras?

Depends on wind but most of the time you will hit gulf water at 13 to 18 miles.5:30 ramp is usually quiet most charter boats leave at 6.
