I am planning on being around Oregon Inlet this weekend. What is the best bet for some good fishing. I have a 19' center console. Thanks.

The bite inside OI has been slow this year, I have had a boat near Monteo for many years and this year I took it back to Lynnhaven, Va. a few weeks ago because of it. If you can get to Hattears (one hr. awa that may change the hole picture.

I was in OBX last week and fished 4 of 6 days under the OBX/Manteo Bridge. If the tide is moving, there a good numbers of striped bass in the main channel (West Side) that can be caught on 5" Saltwater Shad Assasins. We also managed to hook three nice founder and tons of 12-14" croaker there as well. There is a nice public ramp on the south/west side of the bridge that makes for an easy dump.
