Well Ive made 2 go's at it this month, 1st Trip landed a bonita and a 6' bull shark and lost a big cobia at the Hotdog. 2nd Trip, caught my first BFT and lost 3 "somethings" just east of the Va Bch ODAS buoy.
Both trips were in "less than perfect weather" but Im gradually learning each time. I've run out of folks to go with me and looks like I can do a trip either Friday &/or Saturday out of the VB area.
I'm hoping maybe somebody's boat is in the shop and would like to show this rookie a thing or two on how to catch some offshore fish. My boat is an 07 Sailfish 2360 w/F250 (single), dual Vhf's (and antennas), Radar, Type 1 PFD's, all the flares and safety equipment (SEATOW!!) & PLB & handheld vhf. I hold 153gal of gas and need about 64gal to fill her up!! (140miles last trip on Sat, 64gal)
If anybody's interested in going Friday &/or Saturday shoot me a message, looks like the weather will finally feel like summer for one of my trips, I'd like to run out of Little Creek or Rudee, but Im willing to trailer up the Eastern Shore early in the morning if ya think the bite is better.
(I also have about 20 4" croaker I caught last Sunday sitting in a bait tank with thoughts of taking em to the A tower)
At this point, just having calmer seas and learning how to rig ballyhoo would be an improvement!!!
Lemme know, Thanks
Brad
