Not liking the solid four footers and that front that's supposed to push through. Won't be going unless it's PERFECT Mom coming in town Saturday won't blow off her arrival unless it's unbelievable. I need 2-4 ft, 5 to 10 kts or I will wait.

I'm geared up for Saturday, but like Lou said, it really depends on how quickly this Low Pressure gets past us. Probably end up making the final call that morning...just like last weekend.

CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND TSTMS IN THE AFTERNOON."
Looks like a definite maybe!!!

If anyone needs crew, I'm 18 minutes to the fishing center...if that's the ramp you're using. Have a boat plagued by ethanol issues or I'd be playing the same waiting game as everyone else.

Thinking about simply running to the south tower. Keeping it simple with Mom coming in town Saturday leave late get home early, besides I don't really like the OI forecast that much!!!

I like Brian's forcasting method...10-15 kt equals 25 kt, seas 3-5 equals 8 ft...do well guys, looking forward to the posts!

If you change your mind Lou, we will be running out of OI Sat. A good # of Buddy boats will be leaving close to 5am.

I have been holding off saying we were going for fear or jacking up the WX for everyone else. Although the fishing has been the best we've had in several years my ability to pick good weather days has sucked this year??
Hoping to pull through the bridge by 5am.

Storm that came through N. Nags Head around 6am would have made me quit fishing if I got caught on a boat in that thing.
Still willing to jump on a boat tomorrow. I've got a friend who has a wallet and a reeling arm, too...

Change of plans for Looks Fishy:eek2: We are going to Ches Bay--try to catch a spadefish
For offshore, we would like SSW 5-10 (=15) and 2-3ft(=5) LOL.

I'm down here already. I'm not going though. We went tubing today and the family wants to go tubing/cruising again tomorrow. Hope you guys have fun.
You guys probably know more about the OI channels than I do, but a word of warning: :eek2:I hit bottom under the big bridge at the inlet. We zipped out behind a charter boat at near-high tide early in the am on Wednesday, riding through the main columns (the ones with the new wooden barrier thingies) with no problems. On the way back in though, when I approached the bridge to go between the same pillars along the exact same path, I hit bottom. It was less the 1.5 feet deep at low tide. I'm not kidding. I guess I should have known better. There was an Army corp of Engineers barge pumping some serious sand out of this same path (over to the south side of the path. I backed out sat there in that strong-ass current until another boat came in and I followed him. He went under the bridge about two columns south of the main channel/columns. That inlet scares the snot out of me.
