Have a couple tld 30's & 50's that have power pro and I wanted to add a mono topshot. Any recommendations on knots?

Put a bimini in your powerpro. Take the leading end of your top shot and chinese handcuff on a piece of hollow core spectra. Make an end loop in the remaining hollow core and connect it to the powerpro via loop to loop. Takes 15 minutes to do, but it the A#1 method.

I use a Stren Knot that SWS had in an article a few years back. I put a Bimini in the Braid to make the double line that they start with.

I use the exact same knot that Mike posted above but tie it to a doubled main line (50 twist Bimini) when connecting mono to Braided line. We do however also finish off the Sebile knot a bit different than whats shown on the video to make a cleaner finish towards the main line side of the knot. Too hard to explain but as far as strength is concerned, it doesn't really matter anyways. This knot tests 100% every time. It has yet to fail when catching winter Bluefins out of OBX. Our only weak link (had been) at the solid ring but after much trial & error, has since been solved buy using Parker 1/8" air hose (black) tubing as a chafe guard loop combined with a Jinki aluminum extra long crimp. We use 130-150lb mono leader & the Jinki (IL) crimp instead of a knot at the solid ring on the jig. This is as strong of a connection as it gets with zero failures using (pre-set) for the given crimp size adjustable Jinki mini crimper's. This model has an adjustable rod that prevents both over or under crimping when adjusted properly.
It is also a very stealthy + the Sebile, finished properly, will fly through the guides time & time again with no hang ups! For smaller fish using 80lb Floro leader, to save time out on the water, I often tie a 10-12 turn Bristol knot to a 50 turn Bimini (Braid side). It has to be done just right & I then super carefully burn the tag end of the bristol with a heated ice pick to just mushroom the tag end a bit after fully cinching it down. Also super stealthy & smooth through the guides if done right but has mush more room for failure if done wrong & would doubt a test rating of over 80%-90% even though I have yet to have one fail using a more reasonable drag of about 14-17lbs at strike compared to the 20+ used to catch these winter Bluefin on the 130+ leaders.
Of coarse we also make our own Loop to loop pre made leaders of all different sizes, both Floro & Mono for speedy changes out on the water as well but they still aren't as stealthy as the above mentioned for Keen eyed Tuna.

an albright knot is easier to tie than a bimini and goes through the guides much better. I use it for offshore and bottom fishing rods when connecting braid to mono. You can even cast it with smaller lines. Also, never had any knot failure, line has broken before knot.

I have not seen the name of this one.... but I will try to describe here.
Make braid loop and mono loop both with 4-5" tag ends.
Lay one loop over the other in opposite directions.
Wrap tag end of the braid around both loops 9 times.
Run braid tag end through the braid loop and then through the mono loop.
Wet the knot and slowly snug down.
This will have a small catch when using heavy mono, but I have not broken it since I learned the knot this spring.
This is similar to some of the knots above, but it is very fast to complete.
Thanks to Dan ... on the Aquasition.

12to 40 turn bimini in the braid-different braid likes different#s of turns, then Albright or no name mono to the loop. you can see it easily and its a good guide scooter. Another good union is the Chesapeake bay boards ten time around knot--single overhand in the mono w/ braid thru knot, then 10 wrps down and ten wraps smoothly back up, pass tag thru gapbetween braid and mono. Its very compact and if pulled up securely will nver fail, the line wil pop somewhere else.

I have been using very short bimini's put together loop to loop for several years now with no complaints. We had the connection go through the eyes six times on a 160 class blue fin last season without issue. In fact I fly the connection just outside the rod tip on the way back rod as I have 300 yards of power pro 50 out with a tiny 150# spro swivel to 20' leader to lure. DEADLY !!!
