Went out today to an AR about 9 miles offshore because I thought we had a weather window, but turned out to be pretty BIG seas 6' - 8+' but 10 sec apart - they seam twice as big in a 21' CC! We intended to hit the reef, jig for jacks, pomps, cobia and whatever else then troll, but the weather gods were not having it between the seas and a storm coming in. Plus, a guy on the buddy boat I was with got sick so after hooking into a couple of jacks we called it and it was a good thing because the storm came up fast.
