Coming down to the OBX/Oregon Inlet area the last weekend in Sept. mainly for surf fishing but was thinking we might take a half day and try either an inshore or nearshore trip. Curious what you recommend for that time of year....

Thanks in advance

inshore clarks and drones some witches with hoos and planers and clarks...will produce small kings spanish and blues....lots of blacktip sharks around with a little chummm...keep a buctail ready as cobia begin there migration back south........drum may also be seen in large schools heading back south again buctails will work welll...mahi may be close to the beach if the water continues to stay warm and you can find a nice tide line to troll down..keep some squid or albacore cut and ready as ther may be a chance to bail them mahis if you are prepared.......spec trout and greys will also be on the inside of the inlets showing in good numbers with fat bellies....hope this helps......

Myself and Steve F will be down that same week. We will be chasing lots of Trout and Flounder in the inlet. Hope we do as well as last year. Richard looking forward to hooking up again for a few morning trips. But night fishing would be a new adventure. See you in a few weeks.
