Hi Gang
I posted on here a while ago about doing some aerial photography and if anyone had any experience. As it turns out there are not a lot of people out there that have that much experience so it was all trial and error and more errors then we imagined.
We are working on a restoration project on the Henry's Fork section of the Snake River. Our mission is to document it from an aerial view before, during and after the restoration. You can find out more about the project here (http://marineventures.org/projects_HF_Aerial_Photos.html).
Long story short we have experimented with kites and weather balloons rigged with with some kits we bought and ultimately our own rigs that we adapted and in some cases built from scratch. Out best success other then taking pics from a plane, which really only works for a wide angle, is flying weather balloons with a camera and gps rigged to it. We get a crash here and there, but so far pretty good.
Below is a 10 picture panorama of the Ranch below the Stock Bridge stitched together through a process we learned using Photoshop. I will post more pictures and updates as we progress. It's been a lot of fun and its produced some amazing shots.
