Hi Gang
I thought western trout anglers would be interested in a project I have been working on through Marine Ventures Foundation which I co-founded and help run. The project is on the Henry's Fork section of the Snake River. This section of the Snake ten years ago was named the best trout river in the country, since then it has gone down hill. We are working on a restoration project where our main mission is to document it from an aerial view before, during and after the restoration.
We have done some really good things with aerial photography which has been a real learning experience.
You can check out this webpage (http://marineventures.org/projects_HF_Aerial_Photos.html) we put together that has information on who we are working with, what is going on and about what we are doing. There are some sample Google earth files you can check out with pictures and information.
Below is a 10 picture panorama of the Ranch below the Stock Bridge stitched together where you can really see the macrophytes. We have about 4000 high res pictures and as we build out the page more I post updates.
