Anyone catching in Rock fish of the tavern or around that area on the potomac?

where are they being caught at? i am bring down friends tomorrow and would like to put them on some fish

Don't know if it's changed but 90% of what we caught in there over the course of a week (July 1-8) around Cole's Point had a lot of sores. I think the fresh water coming down the river has had something to do with it. Also the ones we did catch were down in the water column, topwater absolutely sucked. Chumming down around 7 seemed to do the best.

Been doing good all week in several of the typical known spots on both live baits on the bottom and vertical jigging.
I'd say 4 out of 5 have been nice clean fish.

Plenty of small rock from westmoreland state park to Dahlgren. Wednesday we averaged about 1 keeper for every 10 fish.

Just caught 6 near tavern. 17 to 22inches. One with sores. Storms and bucktails jigging. Went through a couple schools of blues... Started losing tails. Going to bring some metal out in AM
