Did very well friday eve with the rocks. 17-22. Bucktails. Kept the fattest two and ate them sat night grilled on real charcoal with some crabs from oyster mart.

Went out sat am and it was very crowded from coles point to the tavern. Did not see much catching. I wonder if the crowds had anything to do with it?

Headed out to scout some new spots. Found a couple areas with very good marks several miles from the nearest boat. Could not entice a bite. Diff pattern. Did not have tons of time but I will keep working these spots. Headed back as it got very hot.

Some friends from New Orleans came by and we loaded up the big boat for shrk tooth. Stayed there till after 5pm. Had drinks and snacks on the beach. Found lots of teeth and the kids (7 in all) had fun.

Wanted to go night fishing but ended up in Sandy point eating crabs, rockfish, and deer sausages (thanks!!) With new orlean friends. Watched a beautiful lightning show on MD side of the river.

Got up this morning a little late. Finished a John d Macdonald novel and talked the family in fishing on the little boat. Went to some spots away from the crowds and put down some squid. Lots of med sized croakers. 9-14 foot of water. Added some fishbites and started picking up some jumbo spot. Nothing hit peelers. Family took turns cooling off in the water and so the fishing slowed down. Did not keep any because I think we will stop at the bbq truck at the berryfarm on the way back to town. Its great if anyone likes bbq.

Think the family is going to meet friends at someones pool so I plan to go back out scouting.

she is my youngest and the one who likes fishing the best. So i got her that rod and reel at the boat show last year. she hangs it on her wall at home when it is not on a boat. I got a rod from that outfit too. they are wicked rods

Always good to hove one that loves to fish and nice to hear she treasures the rod and reel. My youngest is the same way he loves to fish.

Sorry about your house RocksandBlues. That must be tough especially during fishing season.Ive got a 3yr old grandson that gets his "cars" rod out every time he sees me getting my gear together-Then he sits at the top of the stairs and practices casting and reeling until I leave.Your daughtrs looks more sustantial. What kind is it.BTW where is the public ramp in Colespoint?Hope you get your house redone without too much of a hassle.
