Been fishing the river lately due to things going on around the house and I just haven't had the time to run up to the bay. Past 3 days have been great on the river! Easy fishing each morning until around 9am or so when they turn off. Been catching many fish in the 20-22 inch range and the birds have been working hard. Definitely a lot better than last year's season. The fish the past few days have been hanging around the blimp hangar and south to the entrance to Newbegun Creek. Storms have been catching the nicest ones.

Sounds good most of the reports I have heard have been alot of small fish with just a few keepers.

Where is the Pasquotank River? Where are you fishing for them? and is it accessible by a Jon boat? Thanks for the info.

Tight lines,

OBX,
The Pasquotank is on the northeast portion of the Albemarle Sound and runs up through Elizabeth City. You won't catch any large fish in it but it's fun when the winds are up on the bay and ocean and you can't get out. Just head out into the river and get some action. I usually fish it out of my 14' skiff.
