Fly Fishing in Corolla

I will be in Corolla starting August 15th for a week. I frequently surf fish on the Outer Banks down to Frisco. The past couple years fishing in Corolla I have had frequent luck catching many pompano and blues in the surf. This year I would like to bring the fly rod and was looking for any local knowlede such as is there any salt water fly fishing opportunities in the sound or any well known structures I can fish around in the surf. Also what type of fish are usually targeted in Mid-August with the fly rod?
