I have asked Capt. Kyle Johnson (Solomon's) to keep an eye out and call me when the Spanish population increases down there. I expect to hear from him in 7 to 10 days and thought I would see if SRRK guys might be up for a half day trip with Kyle. This would be a new species to me and based on his track record (excellent) it could be a good tutorial. He runs a 29' C-Hawk that has enough speed to get the Macs interest and if they are within thirty miles of Cedar Point I bet he finds them! I think four anglers would be ideal for the boat>>> If interested drop me an email to scott@crusaderyachts.com

Scott-

I'm hoping to get out after some of them soon! Heard reports of them out of Solomons, w/ expectations of them being in our area soon. But I would likely be heading out in my own boat as I need to save some $ for some upcoming trips. Let me know when you hear from him.....

Sure, I'll give you a heads up. Do you catch these guys anywhere from TPL to SPL? Does that vary much from year to year?

Same here, as far north as Bloody Point casting but heard of one or two caught above the bridge trolling last year. I've been watching the Poplar area closely, but no sightings yet. Plenty of blues though.

Guess that changes tonight Shawn? were you close to Poplar when Bill hooked that nice mac on his custom lure?
