key largo trip

Planning a trip to the Keys in mid Oct. to fish the flats & Florida Bay. Plan on making
Key Largo my base camp & wonder if anyone has suggestions on a inexpensive hotels
down there that are safe & clean. Will need parking for a 18' flatsboat. My first trip
to that part of the Keys & any suggestions on lodging & fishing strategies would be
appreciated.

Hey Mike,
Not sure of how the price compares but the Holiday Inn Key Largo is a very nice and clean place. They have a big lot in the rear that is fairly easy to get in and out of too. Plus a really nice Tiki Bar by the pool. It may be a place to start your serch.
