I was fishing the Rock Pile at the Bay Bridge yesterday evening. The bite was great but I had to put the rod down for a couple of moments to catch these shots. I thought I would share. Pretty good timing with the Cruise ship coming through during a great sunset.

Can anyone tell me how I can alleviate the sun ghosting in the lens? I am using a UV filter and I wonder if that is causing some of it?

Here's a couple I got, they look much better at full size but I don't have them hosted anywhere.

I think the UV filter would help eliminate the lens flare, not cause it. You can fix it with photoshop or photoshop elements. It's hard to eliminate when you are shooting right toward the sun and all. Lens hoods help eliminate flare, or sun ghosting as you call it, by blocking direct sunlight from the lens. I don't have another answer when shooting with the sun in the image other than photoshop the flare out when it occurs.
