We're taking a family vacation week in Atlantic Beach week of July 17th. I want to bring my skiff(18'). whats the fishing in the sound/inlet doing then. The pool and tours don't interest me that much! HELP[wink]

I've never been in the area that time of year, but I suspect the Red Drum will be around.

I grew up in Atlantic Beach, man the Spanish mackeral fishing along the beaches should be full tilt early in the morning. Flounder action will be good in the inlets and deeper soundside areas using tiger minnows or small live finger mullet.
Whatever you do, don't miss out on the Outer Banks showroom or the pizza and cold beer at the Beach Tavern!
