Was out yesterday from 4 till just before dark and got about a dozen. They were holding in the coves mostly in about 2-6 feet. All caught on Rebel crawdad's, the natural brownish orange color. Here are a few pics...

How are you fishing that? Just cranking like a regular crankbait, or are you letting it sit? I have a couple but havent had any luck so far with them? Same color, got one that size and also have the bigger one with the bigger lip.

John,
I usually bring it in with just enough speed to keep it swimming so I can feel the wobble, I never let it sit. With the deeper ones I'll someties stop and let them suspend or start to float up and then retrieve again. Andy

Thanks, and yes it's a private lake in our neighborhood in Falls Church. Lake is about 135 acres and has a lot of great coves. Not a lot of pressure either.
This was the biggest one today (Sunday), caught some pretty pumpkin seeds too! Tight lines - Andy

Well either you become a member or you use photobucket and copy and paste
nice fish! I'm assuming that is Lake Barcroft? I didn't know whether or not the fishing was any good there. You're lucky to have a nice private lake in the middle of this area that no one fishes.

You got it! There was very little fishing pressure...until I moved in! :D
Another TF'er that fishes it pulled in a giant 7 or 8lb'er earlier this summer, posted a picture on here - it was a beast!
I'm surprised that trespassing/poaching isn't as much of a problem there as it is at other lakes/ponds in the area.
