looks like it might be do-able for us outboards even though it looks like it moved a bit.anyone tried it lately?

Ya better have your s#*t together if ya try it, it's do able but i'd go really slow !!!
And yes, it has moved,alot.

I always go slow the first time just to check things out.

are you sure your not the one I always see over there blowing rooster tails 20 feet into the air as your perched on top of the Golden nugget???[grin]

Hey,don't go blowing my cover.
knock on wood, I haven't had to ever do the rooster tail thing on purpose.I did get caught in a summer storm in Davis channel one time and run up on the flats,put the anchor out and hold on for about 20 minutes.My cousin was with me and he was in the navy and he about ****** himself.It knocked the OI sign down and bent the Miss Oregon inlet's anchor as they were riding it out back in the pamlico.

Just talked to my little brother, he runs through there on a regular basis. You are right about it moving alot, he says it keeps changing. I went through it about a month ago in his carolina skiff and oddly enough I had no problems...[grin] If you go down there this weekend let us know if the crack is still do-able.
