I fished the river from Point Look Out to Sandy point on Saturday. Left the dock about 8 am for the morning trip. Fishing around the mouth, proved productive but slow. Caught some maks and blues. Got a call from my wife and the rest of my family wanted to join in. Return to the dock to pick them up. Left dock around 4 PM for the afternoon run. My two oldest daughters have been working all summer on their Junior Angler Awards and as luck would have it, the Spanish have made their way back to the river!:clapping2: (Not sure who was more fearful, my daughter or the fish?) But this fish finished her requirement for her award and it wasn't long before she was all smiles! The bite was good off of Lewisetta in about 25 feet of water. After fighting off the blues for a while, I found that the Maks seemed to be under the smaller birds. The birds showed up around 6 PM and the bite lasted until shortly after 7. The fish seem to be schooling in the evening between Lewisetta and Sandy Point in around 25-30 feet of water.
