View Full Version : Fishing Report Sat-Elephant Trunk YFT

My dad (granpafish) and I trolled the trunk and picked up three yft all in the 35" range. Had one bite on the longrigger that took the hoo right below the hook. Had nice looking water all day but no real life to speak of. Pulled lines at 1:00 and had a nice ride back. Chuck was a little worn out for the ride back (he says from doing all the work):D

Ric- It's a 27' maycraft pilothouse. Just bought it last fall. This was the first trip out to the blue and it handled real well.

Thanks for the report. Be cafefull with that Maycraft out in the blue when it's rough. They seem to want to dig in in heavy seas.

Bill,

We are both newbies to the offshore gig. Been out on others boat's but first time on our own boat. After getting some yellowfin's it won't be too long before we get back to that blue water.

I believe Chuck did all the work on that trip. Nice pics and good to hear you had a good trip, now gets ready and get another one going.:bigfish:
