Almost time for our annual trip to TI. Anybody been out lately and how's the inlet look this year? There was some discussion about it not being dredged/marked after last year...

The inlet was in pretty good shape when I was there a couple of weeks ago, but be careful becuase some of the markers are definitely off. Pay attention to where the breakers are and you should be fine.

Heading down there the week of June 17-24th. Gotta fly-fishing trip lined up for Monday. Want to catch some redfish the rest of the week. What's the ins and outs of fishing TI? Where to go? Dusk/Dawn? Incoming/Outgoing? I'll be staying right at Topsail Beach (south end). Gotta Jones Brothers skiff that I might be taking...ANy good places to wade?

Anyplace you run aground[grin] Seriously, TONS of skinny water marshes from the inlet up to and along the ICW. Definitely take the JB skiff.
