Heading to Stone Harbour this weekend, only could get off till Tuesday but I'll take it, but looking to go out fishing on Monday. I'm reading Flounder is good, but was hoping for a bite a little bigger, tuna, dolphin, marling etc..All the reports I'm reading say its not good right now? Any suggestions on charters to try? I have been looking at the Open Boat forums, finding some stuff, but have concerns about paying $$ for Tuna if its not good right now......Thanks

Check out any open spots with Over Under Charters. They run out of Avalon Point Marina and some times have last minute spots. Keep in mind that the Midlantic 500 is starting so don't know how many boats will be available for charter.

It is slow in South Jersyey...............but hot further north. If you really feel the need to go offshore you will want to drive a little north to Barnegat, Manasquan, or Shark River. There is a hot big eye bite in the Hudson and a hot bft bite further inshore.

I did alot of research last summer when i was planning a batchelor party out of cape may. eneded up going with Steve Castelini on the "Uncle-T". caught my first jigging bluefin tuna on that trip along with 8 others. a little late in the season for bluefin up there but i am sure they can put you on the fish.
