Fishing OI Friday

I am fihing OI on friday in a 23' boat. I would like to fish near shore but don't know what size sea is to much. I have been in 3-4 footers in the bay and got beaton around but boat handled it well. Are 3-4 ft. seas in the ocean the same as the bay or are they worse. as fare as the wind it looks like south at about 10 to 15 knots. Any info would help. I don't want to do anything that would put my crew or my self in danger.

depends on 3 to four foot rollers 5 and 10 seconds apart are like a really nice day.but stiff breeze from offshore can get real snotty.south west will be nice out to 2 or 3 miles depending on how hard its blowing.full backed boat no worries.I think the bay is so snotty all the time id rather go out of oi.If not from the wind then from all the boat traffic...like anywhere else pick your day..
