Anyone diving/fishing the area has to agree that this has been one of the best years for this fish, they're big in numbers and size more than I have ever seen in the last 4 to 6 years. The schools are so big they have taken over some sites and they're very hungry!

Several times this year while bagging other species in and around wrecks I had to take cover, yes take cover, after hundreds of them went for the kill biting and eating anything that moved around me.
They were like bees and I was their hive. Maybe the lg. numbers are cleaning out their food source and all it takes is one to act up and the hole hive comes alive and very aggresive.

One time while diving without a hood it got nasty. The top of the head, ears, fish bag and gloves covering the ears got it the wrost. The fish became so aggresive at one point that all I was able to do was try to cover, hit and punch my way out to another location as they follow even to the surface. :boat: Maybe next time the numbers will not be there as much and things return to normal:yes: It's been a good year on the water!

I've had the little bastards nip at me before too man. They can be little pricks when they want to.

I am glad I'm not the only one. I was thinking maybe the fish smelling suit of mine was the reason. LOL

You scream Triggerfish - no one moves but you yell Shark and they all get out of the water :D.

Thanks for warning - sure those teeth can do damage - ouch.
