Since everyone was saying it is dead offshore we decided to keep our trip shorter and work the 19 fathom on Saturday.
The water color wasnt the pea green everyone was saying but it wasnt crystal either.
The whole lump was filled with life and slicks. Skippies, wales, turtles everywhere. Had a big mystery bite in the first 10 minutes that we lost after 15 minutes. Lost a nice Mahi at the boat and boated a few skippies. Missed 2 more big bites and dont know why as we never let pressure off the fish.
We were going to keep heading east to the Trunk but all the radio chatter wasnt telling a good tale as most boats were reporting nothing at all.
It was basically not stop bites for about 3 hours and alot of fun for the crew
